Limited Run has announced that it has delayed the release of all physical editions of Treasure's iconic Radiant Silvergun on Nintendo Switch following the confirmation that Live Wire, the port's developer, wants to add a new chiptune soundtrack.
The soundtrack in question – composed by artist PEPOSOFT – is "an official arrangement of legendary composer Hitoshi Sakimoto’s music, offering a dynamic 8-bit retro interpretation of the Radiant Silvergun soundtrack," and was intended to be included as a CD exclusively with the Collector’s Edition of the game.
However, the decision has been made to include this soundtrack on the physical cartridge itself, as well as including it on CD with the aforementioned Collector's Edition. "Limited Run and Live Wire are also hard at work on the package design, and as a result, both companies need more time to get the physical product ready," adds the email, which was sent out today to those who pre-ordered back in October 2022. "We hope the wait will have been worth it. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."

We wanted to update all buyers on the production status of all editions of Radiant Silvergun. We initially launched pre-orders for the game in October of last year, and are making great progress on getting the physical releases manufactured and delivered. We apologize that it is taking longer than initially anticipated to get the game into your hands.
As mentioned during our physical release announcement, Live Wire, the developer behind the Nintendo Switch version of Radiant Silvergun, decided to produce a chiptune arrangement soundtrack that will be included as a CD exclusively with the Collector’s Edition.
In order for as many fans as possible to enjoy this new chiptune soundtrack, Live Wire has also decided to add the chiptune tracks into the physical game cartridge itself, in addition to its inclusion as a CD in the Collector’s Edition. Limited Run and Live Wire are also hard at work on the package design, and as a result, both companies need more time to get the physical product ready.
