If you're anything like us, one of your favorite things growing up was seeing how game developers took established licenses and tried their damndest to fit them into whatever genre was popular at the time.

Need to make a game about the Addams Family Values? How about a Zelda clone? Home Improvement? Well, action platformers are big!

It's a type of ingenuity that we could definitely get behind, even if didn't necessarily result in a great game at the end of the day. And it's arguably this odd way of thinking, which has inspired this impressive Better Call Saul animation from the YouTuber LumpyTouch and demake artists Game Boy Demakes.

Together they've made a fun look at how Better Call Saul may have appeared if it too was given the licensed game treatment back in the 90s, and we have to say we're a little sad it's just an animation!

It takes the crime and legal drama and translates several of its best moments into gameplay, from Jimmy McGill's trek through the desert in Season 5 (portrayed as a Mario-Land-esque platformer) to Jimmy and Howard's boxing match from Season 6 (Punch Out!!). There's even a character select for Jimmy, Kim, and Mike and a game over screen that features everyone's favorite fast food entrepreneur Gustavo Fring.
