Many people dislike what Rare "has become", but personally I like their new games just as much as their games from the 90s. I spent over 2000 hours in Sea of Thieves and I still like it.
An aes colorod vs would be nice though but i guess thats probably out of the question now
From what I heard, Blaze Entertainment (Evercade) and SNK (Neo Geo) have a collaboration ungil 2027, so there's still time for some new Neo Geo branded Evercade hardware. Though an Alpha is more likely than a VS.
@MeloMan Personally I think the Gameboy-sized Super Pockets on sale are pretty good & affordable entry-level devices which allow you to play all currently available Evercade carts. I got 2 of those, the Capcom and the Neo Geo Editions.
@PopetheRev28 I totally agree with you. I discovered Evercade last year, when I saw a Super Pocket and the Tomb Raider Collection on sale. I always wanted to play those original games on a pocket-sized device. Then I learned about the full catalog and all the games I played but never finished or I wish I could have played as a kid during the 90s. Now I am more excited about new Evercade releases than any modern game.
@swiller I have an original Evercade Handheld, which I bought used and then replaced the display, because the original one is terrible. It's great for games in wide-screen, but I am missing the Tate mode. And the mini-HDMI port rarely works.
I like the idea for wireless local multiplayer with the Evercade Nexus, but I wish there was some wired solution for the EXP-R and the Super Pocket. But unfortunately I don't have many friends who would want to play retro games with me. 😅

@romanista Sorry for the late reply.

Cool device for Neo Geo enthusiasts, but I'm happy with Evercade and the SNK game collections on that platform.

I'm interested. I was thinking of getting an EXP-R to replace the original Evercade Handheld. But this is an improvement on the EXP-R.
Re: The Company Behind Evercade Just Teased A New Console
I hope it's not a new console with higher specs. I just got a new VS-R last week. 😅
