This looks awesome. The Analogue Pocket is prohibitively expensive, and I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for it. This is the perfect happy medium.
Another secret for the daring, if you flip the console over you will see several screw heads, by removing these screws the casing of the console will come apart, revealing what hides behind.
I use mine all the time still. I even bought three gamepad batteries for backup so it can go the long haul. It's a great system. But yeah if you leave just about any modern electronic like that plugged in for years and never touch it it will start to fail. My blu ray player did that.
Those games came in nice big boxes, on a cartridge, with a manual. Sometimes other stuff too. Digital games should not cost that much. This article is so weird, like trying to convince people that this is ok. Bad article! Bad!
Good point from another user on the price of consoles being way cheaper too.
If I'm able to buy an old game as a digital download (Hamster's Neo Geo offerings on Switch) or as a bundle (Beat 'Em Up Bundle, or a SNES Mini) I will do that.
If a game I want isn't available for purchase I will download a ROM or other alternative. Why should I not get to play a game because it's not commercially available anymore?
