Crystal Dynamics, in association with distributor PLAION, has announced a physical release for Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered, bringing the classic grimdark adventures to store shelves on PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch this November.

Released digitally to PC and consoles back in March of this year, Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered is an enhanced edition of the original 2003 release, available on PS2 and Xbox. Defiance is the fifth and final entry in the Legacy of Kain timeline, and it thrusts the titular antihero back into the past as he attempts to correct the course of history and save the increasingly desolate realm of Nosgoth. A blood-sucking Dr. Sam Beckett, if you will.

The physical release comes in standard boxed form or in a Deluxe Edition, which includes SteelBook casing, an 80-page art book, a soundtrack CD, a digital comic reader with three Legacy of Kain comics, and a demo of the unreleased Legacy of Kain: The Dark Prophecy - intended as the sixth title in the cult series.

It should also be Capital N Noted that the Nintendo Switch "physical edition" does not contain a Game Card and is instead a case complete with a download code for the Nintendo eShop. The physical editions will launch November 13 on PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders for the Deluxe Edition are open now at selected retailers.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered is digitally available on PlayStation, PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
