@Sketcz Yeah, maybe they should have asked some actual kids what they thought. I also remember reading about Pokemon before it released in Nintendo Power and getting very excited as soon as I heard the concept. You could collect 150 distinct monsters and battle them against each other? Sounded amazing already. Just one look at the concept and art was enough to convince me that I needed to have whatever it was.
Very interesting! I always had the impression that Miyamoto created the original DK more or less on his own. Did he never need to code anything himself, then? Does he know how?
