I watched them play at a small-ish place in Boston a few years ago, standing just a few feet from Jenny, and I can vouch for the lack of Wizard shouts during the show.
The guitarist is also a former child star (Pinsky from Nickelodeon's Salute Your Shorts), so the audience was either lacking in requisite pop culture knowledge or simply enjoying the music too much for allusions. Buncha jerks.

For those of you who don't know her, Jenny Lewis went on to become the lead singer / front-woman for the great little band Rilo Kiley.
She grew up quite nicely.
