i honestly don't know why they even bothered using genAI if they only even used it to replace google image search. and at that, to get reference images for somewhere they apparently already went to specifically for research purposes?
disregarding the ethical concerns what part of the process are you even streamlining at that point? can't possibly be enough to counter the negative backlash from using deeply controversial tech
@TonyHoro the question becomes why anyone who knows the language enough to make a good translation would even need a machine TL as a "kickstart" to then go clean up after? you're doing the same amount of work either way, arguably more since you're reading two different versions of the same line every time
