@tjhiphop exactly this. the Nintendo Power contest was common knowledge when I was growing up. it remind me of the Atari ET thing — when people started thinking that burying them in the desert was an urban legend. it was in the newspaper when they buried those carts, don't know how that ever became a "myth"
