Taki Udon, master of a million indeterminate projects, has just dropped a brand new teaser for the Super Station Pocket. A new, FPGA-powered handheld which is currently in the works at RetroRemake.

The teasing post, uploaded minutes ago to Udon's social media accounts, features an obscured view of the new device (which looks distinctly Game Boy Pocket-ish) as well as a brief explanation of its features from Udon.

The Super Station Pocket is no doubt the end result of the developer's recent posts, which have shown him tinkering with a handheld console, its internal components, its interface, and FPGA software. Udon had previously noted that they hoped to deliver the finished hardware at a price under $100, but the text here suggests that this has ultimately proved unfeasible.

"We’ve been working on this the entire year and our first FPGA handheld is almost done. Plays GB, GBC, and GBA carts."

"Huge FPGA to power cores up to PS1 and N64. Up to 4K HDMI output via an affordable dock. Unbeatable latency. Open source. From $1_ _ at launch."

We'll bring you more details (and images) of the Super Station Pocket once they are made available.
