@slider1983 Well said. The dogpile on any use of AI is unproductive, as it takes away from sensible discussions about how to regulate and use it properly.
I do feel the answer to AI is somewhere in the middle. Models trained on stolen data shouldn't be allowed, it's copyright theft, but someone using something like Adobe Ai, trained on licensed data is fine. It's a tool just like using text complete in word.
And much like the copyrighted thing, that data centres need regulation like any other commercial operation, but there are plenty of ethical ways to host AI (local hosting is more and more a thing after all).
I don't know where this use of AI lays, but I'm not going to pile on every use of AI, especially when the output looks to be well above quickly produced slop.
