Tactile switches for the d-pad are somehow getting more common. They work well and will probably last long, but are very different from a classic rolling membrane d-pad like the Saturn.

I love the abxylute s9 controller but it's taken me some time to learn to use a tactile d-pad. I can still pull off a 1cc on it but diagonals took a good while.

All this to say, the tactile d-pad isn't bad. It's very good. But it's very different, and I think most would prefer what they already know.
