@Damo Hi Damo, always wondered where you went to, since we don't see you around Nintendolife anymore. Probably you don't remember me (I have been around VC Reviews since 2007ish). Anyways, I happened to be on a business trip in Ashby recently, and by chance I found out about its history with Rare on Wikipedia. Thus, I happened to also stumble across this wonderful article, so I took the chance and visited the (vicinity of) the current Rare HQ in Twycross, the old farm complex, and the original location of the Ultimate office. The bike shop does not seem to exist anymore, but the candy shop sure does. I grew up with Rare's games all across NES, SNES and N64 (and GBA), cherishing them to this day, so it was really exciting to see where it all came from. Thanks for the great article, and cheers from Germany.
How exactly is this news? It's been known for years that Everdrive and the likes damage your console as RetroN and the likes damage your cartridges. But some people just want to have access to anything without paying for it, so this is what you get. Buy original hardware and software and you're good.
Why is there no mention of the already produced European TurboGrafX machines? You can still find new and fully boxed machines on the internet for relatively low prices. Mind you, there are no European games, but the console can easily be bought.

Way to ruin someone's credibility, TheChosen.
I also know John from the very same forum, and he is a totally cool guy.
