I had "Pirates of the Caribbean" on Xbox and found it janky but fun - like a considerably-worse "pirate Morrowind" I used to call it at the time. And without at all knowing its original background as Sea Dogs 2, I remember finding it quite refreshing that it wasn't just a retelling of the movie but felt like a side-story set in same universe.

One thing that really stood out was how the dialogue-text would be quite erudite in parts, and then whole lines elsewhere seemed to have been translated by a B-team with barely-passable ESL, such as [in prelude to an escort mission] "I need some job. Do you know rich boy who's scared to go alone?"
