@mariteaux if they weren't constraining themselves by only using dev tools from 1982, I'm pretty sure they could place more system RAM and even additional processing chips in the cartridge and improve things even more.
Color and resolution would still be an issue, as well as the number of moving sprites on screen at any give time, but the games could reach a complexity that might make them fun for more than 2 minutes at a time.
