We're pleased to report that The Console Chronicles, a book we're working on with Lost in Cult, has managed to pass its funding target of Ā£70,000 with almost a week to spare.
The book ā which will celebrate the history of home console gaming and showcases many familiar writers from across the Hookshot Media network and beyond ā is still available to pre-order, and will be until the end of this week, so don't fret if you haven't gotten around to placing an order yet.
As a neat little bonus, everyone who pre-orders The Console Chronicles will get a free vinyl album of video game-inspired music by the one and only ThorHighHeels.

To close out our campaign for The Console Chronicles, we are excited to unveil one last surprise: a limited edition 7" vinyl record of brand-new music composed by the inimitable ThorHighHeels. The record will be included FREE of charge to all backers of The Console Chronicles who purchase the book before November 26th. Any pre-existing Console Chronicles orders are automatically upgraded to include the record.
The composition was inspired by the sounds of consoles through the decades from the early chirrups and bleeps of the 8-bit systems through to the stirring startup chatter of the current gen. Complementing this release is original artwork by illustrator Molly Fairhurst, translating the sound of play into a joyful harmony of shape and colour. This is an essential, artistic jaunt through decades of electronic entertainment.
