We never thought we'd be writing about Croc: Legend of the Gobbos three times in the same week, but here we are.
Following hot on the heels of this 'talking point' feature and our exclusive 'making of' for Croc, we've now been told by Argonaut founder Jez San that work has commenced on an HD remaster of the 1997 3D platformer.
It seems like it's still very early days for the project, but San made the confirmation yesterday after responding to a tweet by GamesIndustry.biz Editor-in-Chief and Time Extension contributor James Batchelor:
The original Croc was released on PlayStation, PC and Saturn in 1997 and was followed by a sequel in 1999. Both games also received Game Boy Color variants. A third game was planned but never released, and the only other entries in the franchise are a trio of mobile phone titles developed and published by Morpheme: Croc Mobile: Jungle Rumble! (2005), Croc Mobile: Pinball (2006) and Croc Mobile: Volcanic Panic! (2006).
