A Profound Waste Of Time – or APWOT, for short – is one of our favourite video game magazines, despite only having two issues to its name so far.

The brainchild of graphic designer and art director Caspian Whistler, APWOT straddles the line between magazine and coffee table book, and comes packed with exclusive content alongside some amazing bespoke artwork.

The latest issue is currently up on Kickstarter, and has smashed its initial £60,000 funding goal in just six hours, and currently sits at over £135,000 with 23 days remaining.

It features an interview with the legendary Fumito Ueda (Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, The Last Guardian) conducted by esteemed journalist and author Simon Parkin, which explores "the themes and philosophies behind both his iconic games and his working practice."

As well as this, there's an interview with PaRappa the Rapper creator Rodney Greenblat, in which he talks about "his approach to both his fine art and character design, and how he hopes his work inspires joy in others." Keeping with this theme, there's an exclusive PaRappa the Rapper pin for the campaign, designed by Greenblat himself.

Fans of point-and-click adventures will be interested in the magazine's interview with the one and only Tim Schafer (Psychonauts, Grim Fandango), who talks to Ben Bertoli about "how to manage your outlook and take care of your mind when creating and working on videogames."

If you fancy securing a copy, then you can do so for £25, although higher pledges are available.
