Putting aside the SNK ownership issue, I think this is a really good example of a company delivering precisely what the fandom wants at a price that doesn't take the piss. From everything I've seen the machine looks superb, it's paying homage to the OG whilst delivering modern outputs so you can choose to plug it into your main telly or use a CRT for the nostalgia, it works with the original games as well as new carts (perhaps priced a little expensively but they'll still sell well) and it just taps into that "missed out" feeling that anyone who enviously dreamed of owning an AES in the 90s has probably never gotten over. I love Neo Geo games and the opportunity to play them on proper hardware that looks and (hopefully) feels as good as this looks is clearly hard to resist when available at a comparatively reasonable price.
