Retro arcade bar operator NQ64 has just opened its biggest venue yet in the heart of London's swanky Soho district.
Located in Orange Yard, Manette Street, NQ64 Soho follows the tried-and-tested format of the company's other locations, mixing retro arcade games with vintage consoles, all to banging hip-hop tunes and a selection of tempting beverages.
This new location spans two floors with over 60 arcade machines and, in a first for NQ64, includes UV pool tables and augmented-reality darts.
"Behind the bar, NQ64's cult-favourite cocktail menu brings the same bold energy to the bar, with arcade-inspired serves drawing on some of gaming’s most iconic titles," says NQ64. "Fan favourites include the Quick Revive No.5, the venue's best-selling cocktail inspired by the legendary Call of Duty perk, alongside frozen favourite the Frozen Deadshot Daiquiri. Those skipping the booze can still get in on the action with CBD Hits From The Pong, NQ64's standout alcohol-free cocktail options, alongside craft beers and spirits."
Andy Haygarth, who co-founded NQ64 with Matt Robson in Manchester back in 2019, had this to say about the opening:
“We started NQ64 in the Northern Quarter with a simple idea: put the games we loved into a bar we’d actually want to spend the night in. Orange Yard is the biggest version of that we’ve ever built. We’ve got more than 60 arcade games, we’ve added pool and darts for the first time, and we’ve somehow managed to fit it all into the middle of Soho. Opening the doors here is a huge moment for us and we can’t wait to see what people make of it.”
This new venue replaces the nearby Berwick Street arcade bar, and joins NQ64 locations in Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Bristol, Nottingham and Newcastle.
