Blaze – the company behind the excellent Evercade line of systems – has just announced three of its cartridge releases for 2023.

The first announcement relates to the ongoing 'Game of the Month' drive, which has already racked two seasons, each pulled together in a physical cartridge release. Nine indie titles which be made available digitally across the year, culminating in the release of Indie Heroes Collection 3 in February 2024.

The company has revealed that "at least" 14 cartridge collections will be coming between now and February 2024, including Indie Heroes Collection 3. We'll also be getting THE C64 Collection 2 and Toaplan Arcade 2, pre-orders for which open on February 17th 2023.

"There’s also our first collection of Amiga games from a yet-to-be-announced publisher," Blaze adds. "And there could still be more cartridges added to our 2023 roadmap!"

THE C64 Collection 2 will feature:

  • Uridium
  • Cybernoid
  • Nebulus
  • Firelord
  • Slayer
  • Zamzara
  • Insects in Space

The Toaplan Arcade 2 pack will include:

  • Fire Shark (TATE)
  • Twin Cobra (TATE)
  • Twin Hawk (TATE)
  • Hellfire
  • Rally Bike (TATE)
  • Wardner
  • Demon's World

In rather less welcome news, Blaze has confirmed that the Piko Interactive Collection 1 is joining the 'legacy' collection of Evercade carts and is no longer in active production.
