Omega Sephiroth

The AEW wrestler Kenny Omega has never been shy about disclosing his love of video games. Not only has he named some of his signature moves as references to Street Fighter V and Final Fantasy VII, but he's also made a habit of incorporating video games into his entrances on occasion too.

In the past, for example, he's made his way to the ring dressed as Akuma from Street Fighter, as well as the skeleton Sans from Undertale. The most recent example of this, however, occurred earlier today, on the first night of New Japan Pro Wrestling's Wrestle Kingdom 17 event (as spotted by GameSpot). Omega was set to take on Will Ospreay for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship but had a surprise up his sleeve for those watching live and at home.

Stepping out onto the ramp, Omega appeared dressed as Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII, wearing metallic shoulder pads and a long leather jacket similar to the classic villain's. A version of Nobuo Uematsu's classic theme One Winged Angel then played over the sound system, as Omega made the trip down to the ring. You can watch a video of his entrance below:

What do you make of the entrance? Let us know!
