@turboxray Words have meanings. Some have several. Such as “lecture”, which you misinterpreted here by choosing its literal meaning over the figurative one.

As for what can be deemed a “defense contractor”, I’ll stick with the OSD and the Congress’s views on this. They do include providers of “mailing/distribution” (see links below).

Your point about “arms dealer” is valid. Your point in favor of “defense contractor” is not.

@turboxray OK, “dealer” does not seem appropriate indeed. An arms manufacturer and seller, then.

(No need for the lecture about words having meaning and indirectly calling me an ignorant — especially as the sanitized term “defense contractor” you seem to favor would not convey the intended meaning. A “defense contractor” might as well only provide mail service or catering to the military, which would be, as you say, a “VERY different thing”.)
