As others have pointed out, I his is incredibly Nathan Barley of them. And along those lines I think even the "digital detox" aspect of it is them simultaneously mocking and leaning into the cringe. I almost get the feeling that the people genuinely making fun of these products would watch Austin Powers and make fun of it for being a silly, unrealistic spy film. If the price to quality of the products ends up being bad then yes, mock them all you want, but this isn't "Commodore the videogame company" making a silly product, it's just a company making a silly product and putting a brand name they own on it for the retro aesthetic.
