The new Commodore 64 actually includes sockets for 2 SIDS, it emulates them but enough people like the sound of their particular SID they'll let you pop one in. Don't know if the second is for additional sound channels or if it lets you switch between them, like 'this SID sounds better on these games and this one on these others'.
What is it with Commodore? I mean there are 2 or 3 Amigas STILL fighting over rights to Amiga name and product rights, and it seems like they have been for at least 20 years. And now the Commodore name itself. You'll note Atari, those dudes making a Vectrex now, these other retro systems, they are not having others pop out and start suing each other.
I'll also note, the Saturn games could be running 100% accurately without the hardware being 100% accurate. If the inaccuracies involve instructions or hardware features or corner cases the game doesn't use then it won't affect it.
