It was a lot more fun playing these cutting edge 3D polygon games at a smooth 30FPS on PlayStation. Sure I would go to the arcade to play Daytona but then come back and realize the home version on Saturn looked and ran garbage. Turning to PS1 and finding super slick versions of Ridge Racer, Tekken and Wipeout. There were all these new developers that came to Sony's platform and delivered games that they couldn't make for Sega because it was just too expensive to develop, certify and publish. You could see how fresh and exciting Sony's approach was. Saturn never stood a chance.
