@MARl0 Xenoblade 2's setting is probably what they were referring to. Alrest is basically a gas giant world with an infinite spread of clouds that only get denser the further down you go. The people only survive above the cloud layer by living on Titans which are basically floating islands amongst the clouds, except a little more mobile.
The game does present it more as a novelty ocean than living in the sky - but it's still the same sorta concept.
