Re: The Making Of: Chibi-Robo - How Miyamoto Saved A Cult Hit From The Scrapheap

Whilst it's coming in clutch for the month of August.
I'm happy we've had at least one GameCube game a month since the Switch 2 launched.

The original 3 in early June.
Mario Strikers in early July.
Chibi-Robo in late August.

Hopefully it continues to be at least one a month (or maybe every 6 weeks if the gap between Strikers and Chibi is a sign)?

Both Mario Strikers and Chibi Robo were shown as boxes in the coming soon reel in the April Switch 2 direct. The others listed were: Fire Emblem, Pokémon XD, Mario Sunshine, Pokémon Colliseum, Luigis Mansion.

So I'm keen for us to burn though those and see what the future holds. Fingers crossed for more third party surprises too.

I'm not sure I've ever seen nor heard of this one.

Does anyone know if any of the Arcade Clubs or NQ64's or whatnot in the UK have it?

The trailer makes it seem a little lifeless (compared to Wave Race 64) with not having wave physics to contend with.

I have newfound nostalgia for that cabinet though, I think this Arcade Archives port really could have benefitted from having a motion controls option. I imagine motion controls could somewhat bridge the gap of the "experience" of playing it in person.

Still. I'll favourite it on Switch 2 for a time when I've more disposable impulse eShop spending money.

Gotta say. I'm really excited for this new era of Arcade Archives.
