@Sketcz - Slight correction: EDGE did credit writers, but in the flannel panel, not as bylines. I can't speak for any other eras, but for the four years I freelanced for EDGE, my name appeared in it every time. If I was that desperate for a byline (or mugshot/gag line) there were plenty of other mags to write for. Like, any of them.
