I know the Old Birmingham store you mention very well. I used to work at Mr Disk and then Software wearhouse after all around the time that store opened. I have never liked their pawn shop model and i really dont see the attraction. Back in the 90s when they were trying to be all edgy the staff were pretty clueless and this hasnt improved with time. Still each to their own i guess.
