The Oliver Twins have announced that they are celebrating Dizzy's 40th birthday with a new Mega Drive / Genesis collection.

The Eggcellent Dizzy Collection was revealed at the recent Crash Live event in Coventry, and contains three games: Dizzy the Adventurer, Go! Dizzy Go! and Panic! Dizzy.

"With Dizzy turning 40 in 2027, the collection celebrates one of British gaming’s most recognisable characters, and the fans who have kept his adventures alive for nearly four decades," reads the press release, before adding:

"The line-up combines fairy-tale adventure, colourful maze action and brain-teasing puzzles. Players can set out to rescue Daisy in Dizzy the Adventurer, tackle the arcade challenges of Go! Dizzy Go!, and test their thinking and reflexes across three puzzle challenges in PANIC! Dizzy.

Designed for long-standing collectors and newcomers alike, the release offers a chance to put a new Dizzy cartridge on the shelf and rediscover the humour, imagination and playful challenges that made the character a favourite."

The Kickstarter campaign isn't live yet, but you can register your interest here. This isn't the first time the siblings have turned to crowdfunding to make a Dizzy project; back in 2017, they cancelled the Dizzy Returns Kickstarter after raising just £25,620 of a £350,000 goal.

The Oliver Twins have already revealed a new title in the series, called Ultra Dizzy, which appears to contain GenAI elements. The pair have embraced the controversial tech in recent years, first through projects like Ghost Hunters and more recently with a board game based on The Wizard of Oz.
