Highly respected fan translator Eien ni Hen has passed away, we're sad to report. The news was broken by fellow fan translator Garrett Greenwalt.

The translator created patches for games such as Romancing SaGa, Fire Emblem, Sakura Wars, Tear Ring Saga, Dragon Force II and Beyond Oasis.

Some of her projects were for games that already had existing, official English translations, but the quality of her retranslations far surpassed the originals.

"I’m just a translator, probably one of the few people on this board who doesn’t know too much about ROM hacking," said Eien ni Hen on her ROMhack.ing profile. "I’ve worked on a ton of projects, though. Mainly platformers and RPGS."
