In his tweet, he mentions threats against him. Why has he been threatened?

I'd like to know who was threatening this guy and why?

This hobby sure attracts some well adjusted people.

I don’t blame him for walking. No job/business is worth your safety and security.

I don’t think anyone deserves this. I don’t know of anything that he has done wrong in general. But I do know he makes a lot of enemies and likes to engage with people online a lot, as well as rival communities and personalities. As far as I know he has never done anything scummy, but he does lose control a lot on social media.

No reason for anyone to do something like this… but still provides possible answers of what could have led to this.

Other possibility could just be a thief familiar with him, looking for something that is valuable like a rare prototype.

I always have to shake my head these days about people... I don't care if he acted like the devil incarnate online; that still gives no one the right to destroy someone else's property like this.

Poor guy.. I hope he is able to recover from this. Just the feeling of having your place broken into and having things destroyed / stolen is such a violation. I have had it happen to me and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Looking at those xbox's, I can't help think of that Simpsons episode where Bill Gates "buys out" Homer's business.

Sad this guy went through this though. Even if he doesn't go back into modding, hope that he can recover from this.

@DigitalProwess According to him, a Windows update restarted the PC / shut down the camera software. I don't think anyone broke in with the intention to destroy something, but the black plastic shelf, which was totally overloaded and bending like crazy (as can be seen in some of his videos), collapsed while someone was going through his stuff.

I hope everything is OK with him... I don't always agree with him or anything but no one deserves to have all their ***** destroyed.

It does seem pretty bizarre on the surface to me too but let's give the guy the benefit of the doubt. No sense in piling on to his misery

I ve always been really unsure about doing videos to feature my games library / setup. I kind of wonder his often this type of thing happens to well-known YT people. :/

State Farm cam insure collectors items like baseball cards, but my local agent told me they looked into and couldn't do videogames because there isn't an official appraising agency for this stuff (I didn't even know there is one for cards).

Obv I know about WATA but the farther we keep them from being any kind of official agency the better for the hobby

If anyone has any info on getting your retrogames insured in the States I'd love to know

@NinChocolate Same. I like and respect his work but his mental health is questionable on a lot of things he’s said. He’s always so aggressive.

It's the combination of "nothing was stolen" with "no idea who did it" that is unusual.

I'd be spooked to know there was someone living close that has pounced on the one time I didn't lock the door just to trash my business.

That looks exactly like our storeroom looked after it was broken into by a homeless guy. Stuff was just dumped everywhere. We finally found some pawnable items were missing.

Really odd he'd say he's exiting the business because of the cost of damages then deny any kinds of funds. Seems like an elaborate way to exit the industry TBH.

Any sane businessman would be selling a product if they're too proud to take a fundraiser.

Things honestly don't look "destroyed" so much as "on the floor."

Vandalism or not, it's hard to imagine this would be that expensive to fix, much less a business-ending catastrophe.

Looks like the shelves collapsed under the weight of all the Xbnoxe and in a bout of paranoia Voultar went "the eviltons want to destroy me !!!"

Or something to that effect.
