@RetroGames I would say Bloodlines is generally better than Super Castlevania.
Most of your arguments towards Super Castlevania are about graphics, which makes sense, but gameplaywise Bloodlines is leagues better.
For starters, Castlevania IV is a generally poorly designed game. The whip is TOO powerful and too useful for battle, making subweapons nearly useless. Additionally, you barely ever use the whip's platforming abilities.
Bloodlines lets you pick between the classic NES controls (John Morris) or Super Castlevania-esque controls (Eric Lecarde). The sub-weapons were also upgraded with a charge attack and each character has different moves which leads to alternate paths.
Bloodlines' death knell is how short it is. If Bloodlines were as long as Super Castlevania IV it wouldn't even be close. As it is though, I tend to go back and forth between both games Castlevania IV has the correct lenght, whereas Bloodlines doesn't
