@Arcticpandapopz this isn't a personal attack. I am replying to what you're saying to us and being real instead of giving a watered down version response.
Honestly, there's not a problem with you being quiet and enjoying retro games at your leisure, not at all! We have loads of great customers that like to keep to themselves. That was why we started doing gaming nights so we could bring people together to play games.
Asking for a game and us telling you we haven't got it, is not being rude. And not telling you to go to our competition isn't being rude either. And if you're telling us that an Independent Trader is sending you to someone else, I can't believe that. And that isn't being rude, either.
I am not arguing that it is your responsibility to do anything for the Retro Gaming Community. My stance is, you're saying this community should be about helping people, implying that we don't.
I haven't apolagised because you've not explained your experience other than saying you asked if we had a video game in-stock and we said no.
Whether you revisit is up to you. You're very welcome, genuinely. Everyone is. If you have something you're not happy about contact us on Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, WhatsApp, in person and we're very happy to apologise for anything if we believe we need to apologise for. But as it stands, no line of contact has been made and you're spreading slanderous remarks about our business on the internet.
@arcticpandapopz our majority 5-star reviews across all platforms, averaging 4.7/5 would tell you otherwise.
We're not rude, we're real.
We do Game Markets and Conventions across the country at a minimum every other weekend, including the Leeds GM you're talking about. In fact, we did the first ever one in The Crypt in the Town Hall before there ever was a Retro Gaming Scene in Leeds and have done everyone since. We're friends with a good majority of the traders who all share the same ethos. We put ourselves in debt to open a Retro Game shop to allow people in the community to buy Retro Games, we have employed multiple people in the time of our business operating, we know a a lot of people on a name-to-name basis where we have genuine conversation about Retro Gaming, the world and how they're doing in life, not just within the hobby. we have a Big Hitter discount to celebrate and give back to our customers, we do a yearly awards for our customers, took Retro Games all across the country where you can't buy Retro Games, we used to put on Gaming Nights every month in York for FREE! Until we took a small amount to cover costs, we have a public platform for people to speak about Video Games and a separate platform for people to talk about anime. Our contribution to our customers (and non-customers) is well and truly fulfilled. What have you done?
You can subjectively say what you want and have the right to your opinion, but ask yourself, why are you slagging off a Retro Game shop on a article celebrating a Teenager's accomplishments of making a game? If you have any issues, why don't you contact us on our social media about it?
@Arcticpandapopz Outdated!! we are a retro shop pal.We are great to customers, but if your wasting your time in my shop, or wasting our time, then yeah
