Slop is rapidly approaching a dead word to me because of its increasingly meaningless usage.
But when it comes to this AI stuff it is still very appropriate.
Because at the end of the day the "product" of these AI slop projects is not actually the game, it's the social media buzz. It's the YouTube videos. It's the engagement. The actual game just has to look good at a glance and only a handful of people are ever going to look closely enough to see it's just a facade held up by sticks.
So yeah if apparently that's all it ever needed to be why work so hard for free to build a building?
