Summitsphere's Antonblast is a game that has been on our radar for a while now. A homage to the Wario Land series, it's one of a few games that have stepped up to try and fill the gap left by Nintendo over the last 15 years or so since Wario Land: Shake It! (alongside the fabulous Pizza Tower) and has just received a fantastic new Steam Demo as of this week.
Antonblast, in case you're unfamiliar with it, follows the characters Dynamite Anton and Annie Blast as they demolish everything in their path to try and get their stolen booze back from the devil. The game started life as a Kickstarter project back in 2022 and is currently targeting a release for both Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam).
In the past, Summitsphere released a one-stage demo for PC as part of the Kickstarter showcasing its Boiler City level, but now it has released an expanded tease of the game that adds a new, more challenging level called Cinnamon Springs. The studio announced it earlier this week with a slightly unhinged video of a person dressed up as Dynamite Anton, inter-spliced with fast & colourful game footage.
If you want to give the demo a try yourself, all you need to do is head over to its Steam page and click the big green "download" button. While you're there, be sure to wishlist the game too, to give it a boost and keep up to date with any announcements.
