Interesting article and as someone already mentioned I too would love to see more articles like this. I don't get what makes something a failure though, was the X68000 also a failure because it sold less than other home computers? The form factor of the PC-FX sure makes it look like it was never meant as a one to one competitor to the PlayStation. Surely as failures go, the PC-FX must seem like a success compared to the Jaguar?
Such a weird take, the PSP did a lot of innovative things for its time and still sold well. Was the PS3 also a failure then since it sold less than the Wii? Are workstations as a category a failure since they sell less units than consumer-grade laptops? At the very least it is a great device in the retro scene, like someone already commented, still finding great games for the PSP.
