Remember Gravity Circuit, the acclaimed Mega Man-inspired action platformer from 2023?
Well, it appears the developer and publisher team of Domesticated Ant Games and Dear Villagers are currently working on a sequel for PS5, Switch, Switch 2, and PC (via Steam), due out next year in Spring, and they've just released a new trailer (as well as a new Steam demo for people to try out).
Gravity Circuit 2 takes place shortly after the events of the first game, which saw the main protagonist, Kai, battling the Virus Army, with a new aggressive faction (called the Hunter Army) emerging from the skies to do battle in the sequel. This time around, though, Kai isn't exactly alone, with another "Circuit", Cable, being playable, offering a change of pace from close-quarters combat to a longer-range fighting style focused on peppering enemies from a distance.
As the Steam page states, you can pick which character you want to play from a central new hub, with the stages being the same but playing differently depending on who you select.
Both characters' abilities are also upgradeable, too, thanks to Circuit Shards and Booster Chips earned throughout the levels, as well as Burst Techniques that can be equipped to let you perform various "devastating" finishers.
The demo is said to feature 20-30 minutes of gameplay, two stages (Kernel City & Artificial Lake), and the chance to play as both characters.
If that sounds like something up your street, you can watch the latest trailer below:
