Commodore International and CD Projekt Red are teaming up to release a special Cyberpunk 2077 Commodore 64 Ultimate.
Dubbed the Commodore 77, this special edition features a unique case design that includes metal extras, LEDs, and graffiti tags.
It ships with "an original demo, offering an all-new experience that expands the lore of the Cyberpunk universe," says Commodore. "The demo is only available with the Commodore 77 and will be shipping on an exclusive “Arasaka” cartridge design inspired by the “shards” from Cyberpunk 2077."
Developed by the long-running Polish C64 demo group Arise and boasting an original soundtrack by chiptune artist LukHash, this non-interactive demo "showcases just how far the boundaries of hardware developed in 1982 can be pushed in 2077."
The Commodore 77 edition includes:
- ‘Shard’ cartridge holding an exclusive 8-Bit ‘demo’ Cyberpunk experience, from Commodore x Arise Designs, with 24-channel stereo SID music by LukHash
- Upgraded AMD Artix 7 XC7A100T processor for 77MHz top speed
- Themed spiral-bound user guide with Cyberpunk 2077-inspired type-in BASIC programs + lore
- Exclusive Commodore x Cyberpunk 2077 enamel pins + stickers

- World power adapter (compatible with Night City)
Commodore boss Christian Simpson had this to say about the announcement:

I have been a fan of the game since its release, and it was rewarding to learn in my discussions with their Joint CEO, Michał Nowakowski, that he was a lifelong Commodore 64 fan in turn. For us both, this has been a collaboration where art imitates life, and in turn, life for the denizens of Night City now imitates that art. We hope they enjoy their new terminal.”
