Egret II Mini

Last month, we wrote about Arcade Memories Vol. 1, a collection of 10 classic arcade games coming to Taito's Egret II Mini console via an SD card. And now (as spotted by Gosokkyu) it seems that Taito is soliciting its fans for suggestions on what they want to see for the next collection.

The form (which is in Japanese), asks fans to select up to 3 titles for each genre, with the categories including shooting games, action games, puzzle and quiz games, and large cabinet games. It's limited to arcade games obviously, and it's also possible for players to suggest non-Taito games.

There are also prizes, though unfortunately these are limited to Japanese participants, with some of those who enter being able to win a copy of the magazine Dengeki TAITO STATION VOLUME 1 plus some Arcade Memories Stickers.

Considering the Egret II Mini is region-free, this might be a good way to request some titles that you personally want to see come to the platform. Just bear in mind, these are the games that are already coming to the system via Arcade Memories Vol.1 on December 22nd in Japan:

  • Great Swordsman (1984)
  • Ohgon No Siro/Great Gurianos/Gladiator (1986)
  • Slap Fight/Alcon (1986)
  • Daisenpuu/Twin Hawk (1989)
  • PuLiRuLa (1991)
  • Grid Seeker: Project Storm Hammer (1992)
  • Riding Fight (1992)
  • Light Bringer/Dungeon Magic (1993)
  • Gekirindan (1995)
  • And Cleopatra Fortune (1996)

The deadline for your suggestions is on Monday, October 24, 2022. And if you want to check out a review of the Egret II Mini in the meantime, we've got you covered!

What do you want to see come to the platform? Let us know in the comments below!
