I've stated this over a decade ago on Social media, especially with the rise of Retro-brite articles and how-to's popping up on Social Media. Not a single one of these individuals has a background in chemical engineering. I asked a chemical engineer friend about the cons (over a decade ago), she stated it would only be a superficial fix and over time it would revert and be worse. Also, the process makes the aging ABS plastic even more brittle.
