AliExpress has seemingly jumped the gun on releasing details pertaining to Anbernic's upcoming handheld emulator, the RG DDS. As reported by RetroHandhelds, the drop-shipping site opened a new listing which seems to reveal the console's price and shipping details.

According to AliExpress, the RG DDS ("Dual Dream Screen") will retail for $364.99 (£275) for the 12GB + 256GB model, and $299.99 (£225) for the 8GB + 128GB model. Both models are expected to have a $15 discount during their pre-order period, which is expected to begin tomorrow, October 16. The site states that the RG DDS will begin shipping on December 10.

The listing also suggests that three colour options will be available: White, Blue, and Black.

Notably, AliExpress specifically denotes that "No Games" come bundled with the new platform, which is the wisest - not to mention legal - choice, given that the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has asked the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) to investigate Anbernic with an eye to banning the company's wares on U.S. shores.

As we have previously reported, the RG DDS is a stylistic clone of the Nintendo 3DS, though to date Anbernic has made no mention of their product having 3D capabilities. It boasts two 720p screens and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon G2 processor. Should the AliExpress listing be correct, we should expect official word from Anbernic in the immediate future.
