This is the topic for the PS1/PSX. It has some cool games. Apparently, there used to be bigger cases for the games. What games did you play on it?
(Don't argue please)

PlayStation was one of my all time favourite systems. Just an awesome era, and overall awesome selection of games. I do remember the original Longboxes.

The PS1 was a fantastic machine. So many great and experimental games across all manner of genres. Cracking console.

There is a channel on YouTube that has gone to some insane lengths to bring a compilation of console games from each region. I probably enjoyed this one a bit too much.

Probably my favourite console of all time. My heart belongs to it.
Excellent library with so many gems, some games aged so well that are still enjoyable today for non-retrogamers. The impact on the market was huge and one of the biggest for the industry. Mine is still at my parents' house and, the last time I turned it on (4-5 years ago), worked perfectly.

The PSX is my favorite console of all-time, as well. It just came to me at that right age where I was the one making the decisions on what to play next. The big RPG boom. PaRappa. Metal Gear Solid. Castlevania SotN. So many classic games.

I just recently finished Contra Legacy of War for a book I’m working on. Not that great of a game. This generation was one where companies either figured out 3D transitions, or stumbled awkwardly through it.

My introduction to the PSX was Mega Man Legends, a series that I immediately fell in love with. Other than Mega Man, Final Fantasy was my other go-to game on the system.

I've been playing a good bit of PS1 lately. I've been on a Strider kick, so I played some of that, and compared it to the arcade version(s). I recently played a lot of Strider 2, and a bit of Mad Stalker as well.

I went with the Saturn early on, but I remember the PS1's early long boxes as well. I was a little jealous when they switched to CD cases as I liked them better than the Saturn boxes in the US. Bigger is not better in that case. I was happy with my Saturn, but releases dried up in 1998 even with importing Japanese games, so I picked up a used PS1, an early model that should have had the skipping issues, but never seemed to actually do that. The PS1 has a good library, but it was Tenchu: Stealth Assassins that really made me want to get the PS1.

I remember liking Hot Shots Golf, Croc, Jet Moto, among plenty of others. Some of the PS1's more popular stuff didn't do a lot for me. I remember liking Gran Turismo, but got super annoyed at a few things, not the least of which was a bug where the analog control would switch itself off at random times, which is pretty lame mid race. I heard Omega Boost by the same developer also has that bug. I should play that one as it looks cool.

Wad thinking of getting Legends for PSP. Looks fun!

Even though, as a life long Sega fanboy, I started off the generation with a Sega Saturn, I have to admit that the PSX is probably the greatest game console.in history. The number of classics are insane.

Too many favourites. Currently playing Vagrant Story, the best looking PSX title.

Same here. And this would be the game to inspire me to later migrate to Japan.
