Poll What Was Your Favourite Game Of Christmas 2012?

That year I wasn't really playing games. Nothing on this list stands out to me. Definitely a blip around that time. I later on got a wiiu and always had a pc but nothing for me on this list really

I did enjoy dishonored actually but I went back on it not long ago and struggled to remember what I loved about it

Dishonoured is one of my favourite games of all time. However, back in 2012 is only just got an XBOX 360 S that summer. For Xmas my wife surprised me with 4 excellent games for it: GTA IV, Batman Arkham City, COD Black Ops and Halo CE 10 year Anniversary.

Needless to say she didn’t see much of me that holiday!

Forza Horizon and NFS : Most Wanted both released on the same day that year. I STILL regard that as the greatest release day in history as both those games were just superb!

I really loved Mass Effect 3 (big fan of the series), but the game I had the most fun with was Sleeping Dogs. I really enjoyed the setting and the characters, and combat was just so good. The missions kept me interested until the end. It is easily one of my favorite open world games to this day.

Forza Horizon. Still the best in the series and probably the greatest car racing title ever made.

Dishonored would be such an easy pick seeing as it's one of the best games ever made, but I just don't associate it with Christmas at all.

Christmas is cozy, cuddled up under a bit fleece blanket with a portable console.

And for that, Awakening is too good to ignore.

Forza Horizon and Sleeping Dogs were the two surprise hits that year. Excellent games, especially Forza Horizon. The other game I played a lot of was Halo 4, which had great gunplay and at the time I didn't mind the story but looking back... It was the start of very bad decisions by 343i.

I was basically learning to master Dark Souls speedrunning, so I played literally nothing on that list lul

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on the Wii U.
I put in 600+ hours into that online (helped that Wii U was free online) and absolutely mastered most of the characters.
The ability to customise your characters into virtually anything was also amazing.

Also ZombiU and Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U.

Mass Effect 3 and Resident Evil 6 were at the top of my list that year. ME3 still holds up.

So many good games, shows how gaming has degenerated since then. Ultimately I had to go with FE: Awakening but P4Golden is right behind. And XCOM (of course better when upgraded to Enemy Within), Far Cry 3, Diablo 3, Black Ops 2 (still played regularly vs bots on my 360 because I can't get the dlcs to work on Xbox one) are amongst my favorite games while Mass Effect 3 is still ongoing and RE6 is in my backlog.

Ten years ago 😂 how time floes

I’d just got a Wii U for Xmas that year, and was thoroughly enjoying Zombi U! Can’t believe that was 10 years ago, I should probably give it another playthrough.

I only own one game in that list, Mario Sticker Star, I was travelling around Central America with it.
I know its got its haters, and I can understand why, but I quite liked it.

Honestly it’s not a particular impressive list. I think the only game on that list that I played near launch was New Super Mario Bros. U. That’s a good game but not exactly an amazing end of year Christmas type title. Later I played ME3 and Sleeping Dogs, both of which are good. Overall, looking back, Christmas 2012 seems pretty meh. I think I was mostly playing backlog titles.
