Broken Sword 2 - The Smoking Mirror: Remastered may have come out a decade ago, but it appears it's still getting updates.

Developer Revolution Software posted a link on Twitter to its Steam update page on Wednesday (14th September), promising players a "huge update". And it seems like there are a few interesting additions that are worth going over.

There's the arrival of achievements, which will now let you show off to your mates your ability to beat Revolution's devilishly tricky puzzle-adventure game. Improved widescreen support. A lovely reduction in file size. And perhaps most interesting of all, 100% Steam Deck compatibility.

That means if you have one of Valve's fancy new handhelds, you should now be able to play the game on the go without any issues.

While Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars took place (mostly) in Paris and followed adventurer George Stobbart and reporter Nico Collard as they faced off against a group of modern-day Templars, the sequel instead finds the duo traveling to Central America to unravel a mystery involving an Aztec god. It originally came out in 1997 for Windows and PlayStation and later received a remaster for Windows, OS X, iOS, and Android.

Have you played Broken Sword 2? Does this update make you want to check it out? Let us know!
