The Commodore 64 was an incredible machine that marked the starting point for some of the best and brightest in the video game industry today, so we're glad to be able to announce Blaze – the company behind the Evercade system – has just revealed the first C64 collection for its console, a fantastic compilation of titles from the 1980s home computer scene.

The collection is a collaboration between Blaze and Retro Computers (the company behind the C64 Mini). It packs 14 games on a single cartridge, including seven already seen on the C64 Mini, and another seven that are appearing for the first time.

Among these new titles are Lee, a Bruce Lee platformer; the vehicle-shooter Marauder with its phenomenal soundtrack from Barry Leitch; and the puzzle-action game Stormlord, which tasks you with saving fairies from an evil witch using your wits and reflexes.

You can find a full list of those games below:

  • Alleykat
  • Battle Valley
  • Gateway to Apshai
  • Impossible Mission
  • Iridis Alpha
  • Jumpman
  • Lee
  • Marauder
  • The Movie Monster Game
  • Street Sports Baseball
  • Stormlord
  • Subterranea
  • Summer Games
  • Winter Games

Of the collection, Andrew Byatt, Blaze Entertainment's Managing Director says:

"We are excited to bring this iconic home computer's games to Evercade. The system and the games have been much requested by Evercade Fans since we launched and now Evercade owners can now play these classic titles both at home and on the go for the first time.”

Pre-orders for the collection go live on July 29th, with the current release date set for October of this year. What do you make of the collection? Are there any games you think should have been included? Then let us know below!
